In-car navigation – getting you there
Pioneer’s 2003 car navigation line- up boasts intuitive and
interactive touch screen panels, voice recognition, increased map
content, and a new intelligent rerouting system.
The new AVIC-900DVD (DVD navigation system with built in multimedia
and DVD playing capabilities and Traffic Information Receiver) and
the AVIC-800DVD (a pure navigation system with built in Traffic Information
Receiver) are designed to work with the new AVH-P7500DVD and AVH-P6500DVD
AV head units and the AVD-W6210 ondash display featuring touch screen
functionality. Pioneer’s advanced navigation systems safely,
simply and efficiently plan a route for drivers to any destination
in Europe within seconds.
Martin Fuller, Product Manager for In-Car Entertainment at Pioneer
says: “Car navigation systems across Europe are rapidly growing
in popularity. With this new range we are offering a highly-sophisticated
technology to drivers that is simple to use. Our new touch screen

Touch and go
The AVD-W6210 on-dash display with touch screen functionality is an
entirely new feature of Pioneer’s in-car navigation products.
Thanks to the touch screen, the navigation system is faster, intuitive
and easy to use, with every function immediately accessible with a
touch. For address searching, it is over three times quicker to use
than a remote control. The sleek, new screen design also has large
keypad icons, making it easier to navigate the menu, highcolour screen
for greater clarity and enhanced graphics promising a superior user
experience. Anti-glare and anti-fingerprint technology has also been
developed to ensure that, regardless how many kilometres have been
navigated the screen remains clearly visible.
Let Pioneer entertain you
The car entertainment range for 2003 features two new DVD AV head
units that are designed to integrate seamlessly with Pioneer’s
DVD cyber navigation units, completing the ultimate in-car package
that will meet the needs of any busy worker living life in the fast
lane or a family on the move.
Hit the road and take the comforts of home with
you
Pioneer’s versatile entertainment range has the following benefits:
DVD audio and multi-channel surround sound for true music lovers (7500DVD
only); film fans will be thrilled with the high quality DVD playback;
the kids will love connecting to a gaming console for hours of fun;
no-one need ever miss out on their favourite programme again as they
simply take advantage of the TV tuner “The popularity of DVD-video
has grown phenomenally over the last few years and as the format has
become widespread, the demands and needs of consumers have also evolved,”
says Martin Fuller. “We are all now looking for more specific
solutions for our in-car entertainment needs – from multi-channel,
multi-screen, full-blown systems, through to displays for rear seat
entertainment.”
A complete entertainment system
The AVH P7500DVD brings the cinema direct to the car. It includes
a fully featured car stereo, built in AV Master, DVDV and DVD-A player
and a fully motorised 7-inch touch panel display. The ultra-slim all-in-one
DVD/CD/MP3 player can operate on its own or in combination with Pioneer’s
AVIC DVD cyber navigation units to benefit from enhanced navigation
software features and control, perfect for the hard-working executive
on the road or the family cruising through Europe.
Thanks to the built-in Dolby Digital, DTS and Dolby Pro Logic II decoders,
the listener is wrapped in full 5.1 channel in-car surround sound
for the ultimate experience when watching DVD movies or when listening
to audio sources. The AVH P7500DVD is compatible with DVDAudio, which
means audiophiles can experience total immersion in high-resolution
surround sound to relive that concert experience.
The new AVH-P7500DVD display introduces touch screen functionality,
enabling passengers to control audio and video settings by simply
touching the screen. When using Pioneer’s DVD cyber navigation
units, drivers can operate all connected systems via voice-activated
commands so that their eyes are always on the road. The new motorised
mechanism automatically retracts the LCD display into the unit when
not in use and the angle is continuously adjustable for optimum viewing
– when opened, the display will immediately return to the last
set angle and display position.
Pioneer offers solutions for every in-car entertainment need. More
head units and screens are available, including the DVH-P5000MP, which
enables car owners to upgrade their existing car stereo without installing
a complete entertainment system. Plus, family buyers looking for an
electronic babysitter for those long drives to amuse the kids will
want to install the AVD-W8000 8-inch wide LCD colour display for rear-seat
viewing or alternatively it can also be used as a navigation display
in the front.
Let Pioneer’s new top-notch navigation systems guide you wherever
you need to go this year and be entertained by its unequalled and
most extensive AV line-up ever.
Pioneer – everything you need to drive into the future.
